Tewksbury-The Joining Of Two Rivers

• Start: Thursday 28 Jul 2022 @ 10:00 Please allow sufficient preparation time so we can depart promptly.
• Distance: 10 km (6 miles).
• Route Type: Loop, this is a circular route where the walker ends at the start point without retracing any of the route.
• Grade: Moderate
• Some Stiles.
• Snacks: Bring drinks and snacks for coffee break..
• Post Walk Refreshments: The Fleet Inn.
• No dogs please (registered assistance dogs by prior arrangement with the walk leader).
• Everyone under 18 participating in Ramblers walks and other activities must be accompanied by a responsible adult, such as a parent, guardian, teacher or youth worker.

The walk starts on the banks of the River Avon and then, via lanes and paths with lovely views, crosses to the Severn Valley. There is a long, easy section through a fascinating nature reserve on an old railway line and river side before climbing gently to the top of the hill above the junction of the two rivers. Then a stroll back to an excellent pub and restaurant via pleasant farmland.

Meet here and note you need to drive past the front entrance and park right down to almost river level, where the track turns left to run along side the river to the end of the overflow car park. Walk leaders will direct you upon arrival and will be wearing hi-viz vests for identification purposes.
