Worcester Ramblers

We would like to announce our Ramblers summer get-together at the Fox, Monkwood Green on Saturday, 15th August.

If you wish, you can join us for a lovely walk through Monkwood nature reserve starting at 10.00 a.m., or just meet up at the Fox for a light bite buffet (sandwiches and cake) and catch up with old friends for a chat, from 12:30 p.m. onwards, with an estimated finish time of 3:30 p.m.
Just for fun there will be skittles and other pub games available if you want to join in.

Buffet costs: £10 per person.

Worcester Ramblers Holiday Arnside 10-17th June 2028

We have provisionally booked Arnside again for the week beginning 10^th June 2028 and are wishing to gauge interest from Active Worcester Rambler members.

This holiday is such good value that we cannot get a booking for the whole house before 2028.

For those of you who have not been to this venue in Arnside Knott, an area of outstanding beauty, it is a fabulous venue for a walking holiday. It is just south of the Lake District. The likely cost for 1 weeks full board is £625 per person with no single room supplement. In the past, there has been no increase on the indicative cost.

We would plan to offer a choice of 2 walks per day with a day off. As always, you don’t need to walk with the group unless you want to. There will also be some evening activities for those who are interested.

New Worcester Ramblers Holiday – Forest of Dean – 14th- 18th September 2026

We are delighted to be able to offer Worcester Rambler members this 4 night break at Whitemead Forest Park in the Forest of Dean. This Boundless resort has a variety of good quality properties varying from glamping pods to 3 bed cabins with hot tubs as well as caravan pitches. There are also pool and gym facilities plus a restaurant, shop and coffee bar. Although the accommodation is in individual properties, there are plenty of opportunities for socialising including a couple of pubs within walking distance.

There is a discount if you are a Boundless member. Each Boundless member can book 2 properties so there may be limited opportunities to book through a member, please ask.

The accommodation for this holiday is booked by yourselves so there is no deadline (other than the sale price). Please let us know if you would like help in finding someone to share with. At present there is good availability for all properties.

Walking

The plan is to offer a variety of daily walks. Some have already been reccied. The detail, as always depends on numbers and people volunteering to lead walks and there will be calls for volunteer leaders later in June.
